Welcome to Univariate Statistical Analysis, MA220.

Students will learn how to producing and understanding quantitative evidence through the use of univariate statistics. These techniques are playing important part in decision-making in our society, and data analysis and statistical concepts are integral to many jobs.

This unit focuses on descriptive, probability and inferential statistics. Students will learn how to collect raw data, using different data analysis techniques to process the data to useful information. Topics covered include types of data, presenting data in tables and charts, probability, discrete and continuous distributions, central limit theorem, hypothesis testing and the basic linear regression.
