    WHS report is a 2500 report on a current organisation's WHS systems. This is an authentic assignment to enable students to research an industry based organisation and their active WHS systems. Students also then apply their learnt knowledge to seek improvements to the current organisation WHS Systems.

    • Hazard identification and elimination / mitigation and reporting
    • Accident / Incident reporting
    • Wellness and Safety issues
    • Strategies and recommendations

     Introduction:

     Describe the company and industry. Explain what are key WHS issues that may affect the company's workers.

    Why  is WHS important for this industry? What will this report cover and focus on? - This report will investigate the WHS system for ( the company) and provide suggestions for improvements and recommendations to their WHS system. 

     

    1.0 Section

    • 1.1 Consideration of the legislation

     - keep in mind the key industry issue .
    - analyse if the legislation below does help the company/industry navigate these issues

    1.  WHS Act 2020
    2. Using AS4801 - Managements Systems - Hazard controls, Audit programs, Safety Policy  
    3. WorkSafe WA and Safework Australia requirements based on each industry
    4. Industry standards i.e. (Chapter 34- specifically for Mining ) 

    2.0 Section 

    • 2.1 Hazard identification and elimination / mitigation and reporting
    1. What are industry standards specific to identify hazards in your company/ industry? 
    2. Risk mgt ie. ISO31000 or Quality standards- ISO9000
    • 2.2 Accident / Incident reporting

    -What are the industry best practice processes that maybe used by this company?

     2.3 Wellness and Safety issues

    - Might think of applicable legislation and does the company have guidelines/code of conduct to cover these areas below.

    1.  Metal health- harassment etc.
