Assignment 2- WHS Report & Guidance

WHS report is a 2500 report on a current organisation's WHS systems. This is an authentic assignment to enable students to research an industry based organisation and their active WHS systems. Students also then apply their learnt knowledge to seek improvements to the current organisation WHS Systems.

Main headings must cover topics below

• Consideration of the legislation
• Mental wellbeing
• Hazard identification and elimination / mitigation and reporting
• Accident / Incident reporting
• Wellness and Safety issues
• Strategies and recommendations

Subheadings topics to be considered for main headings below

• Consideration of the legislation

1. WHS Act 2011 and WA WHS Act 2020
2. Using AS4801 - Managements Systems - Hazard controls, Audit programs, Safety Policy  
3. WorkSafe WA and Safework Australia requirements based on each industry
4. Industry standards i.e. (Chapter 34- specifically for Mining ) 

• Mental wellbeing
• 1. Chapter 25 - on stress and fatigue
• 2. Seek information on workplace harassment , bullying etc.
• Hazard identification and elimination / mitigation and reporting

1. What are industry standards specific to industry? 
2. Risk mgt ie. ISO31000 or Quality standards- ISO9000

• Accident / Incident reporting

1. What are the industry best practice processes that maybe used?

• Wellness and Safety issues

1.  Metal health- harassment etc. Might think of applicable legislation
2. Physical health- stress, fatigue
